Cousins in Seattle

All the cousins we saw in Seattle! We missed 5 other one's who weren't able to be there last week. The kids had too much fun. It was hard to get Ethan in the car to go back home. Aleena and Abigale came along with us from Idaho. All the kids did really well in the car...just one bruised nose (on Ethan's doing) and a couple crying spells...but other than that, they got along pretty well. Here are all our cousin's kids...including our own.

Aleena White (3.5 yrs) (Keith and Chrissy)
Abigale White (5 months) (Keith and Chrissy)
Abigale, Aleena, Ethan, Clayton, and Siena Stonebraker (Greg and Tiff)

Sweet Momma Jami

Sunday I had my first opportunity to take some Maternity picture's of my cousin Jami and her fiance, Gary. We don't get to see each other often enough, so I wanted to take the opportunity to take picture's for her...while she was here for a minute. Thank you Jami and family, it was great to see you guys.

Oh...No you didn't!!!

Dear Child,

The next time you feel like I'm blatantly ignoring you while I'm reading the news, facebook, or what ever else on the computer ,please child, don't force little rabbit turds out onto the floor. It's just not cool. I will be more than happy to give hugs and kisses if you ask and when you don't ask...But, just so we're clear, I don't need to see your poo on the floor to remind me.

Love,
Your Dear Mother

yes, that is it...right here at the bottom of the picture. (granted...he blamed it on BB and was completely oblivious to what I was taking a picture of...thankfully. Hopefully, we won't be having a repeat of this little stunt.)

P.S. Sorry for airing my dirty laundry!

Camping

This past weekend we went up the Selway camping with Katie and a couple of her friends. It's been a long time since we've been in that part of the world...it was nice to be back. Lot's of floaters on a dusty road...so in the afternoon we went for drives to get away from the dust and so the kids could get a nap in a cool car...rather than a 100 degree tent. They were both so tired...Ethan even begged me to go to bed the second night...I thought something was wrong with him. ;o) Clayton got his fill of some nice dirt and sticks...in the mouth. Then he decided that it really didn't taste that yummy and would try to pick it out of his mouth with his dirty hands...it was actually pretty cute to watch. We also splurged one night and went down the road 10 miles or so to the Wilderness Cafe and got a couple of very yummy cheeseburgers and fries for dinner. Now that's how I like to camp!!!

Ethan
He started in the kiddie pool....ended up in the mud puddle outside of the pool. ;o)

Dirty boy getting a taste of the fine dirt.

Dirty Soggy Diaper.....ick!!!

Vacation to McCall

The first week in July the boys and I went down to McCall to spend the week with my mom and to visit Emily and her kids. We had a lot of fun riding bikes, going for walks, and playing Go-Fish....oh and eating S'mores.

Sorry...no picture's on this one. This is mainly a venting post....or to see if anyone has any idea what is going in my child's head. This weekend has been a doozy. I seriously had to talk myself out of checking myself into a Rehab center in some far off tropical island...of course I'd have to fake an addiction of some sort (not to be taken lightly of course) just so I could have a vacation. :o) I'll keep it short...but with enough info for those of you who are child psychologists to make a good analysis. So Luke took Thursday and Friday off to work on the house/yard. Which usually leaves me to my existing duties of house chores and taking care of the kids. Anyway, Ethan for what ever reason decided to pee on a dog bed...granted he begged me to lock him the dog kennel so he could pretend to be a dog...but still dog's usually whine or something to tell a person they need to go potty. Anyway, on to the next adventure in my son's head...we're eating lunch and he decides to only chew up all the carrots on his plate and then spit them out all over the table, floor, dogs...pretty much anywhere with in a 5 foot radius. So the mean mommy that I am, I make him get down on the floor to pick up his mess and put it in the garbage...I'm pretty sure I told him to put it in the garbage...and NOT the air vent. At this point I'm doing some serious talking to myself...what rehab center or mental facility could I go to that is in a nice quiet location and not in Idaho.....or possibly just taking a week in Hawaii just by myself. I only mention mental facility because there are days I think my child is driving me crazy. Ok...so anyway, Ethan got sent straight to bed for a much needed nap. He gets up and we got out to play in the pool and he doesn't play long and he comes running inside...so I come in after him to see what's up and spot ONE little footprint walking through the house...yes one...because he peed in the house (because the pool made him...he claims) and then proceeded to pitter patter up stairs to get changed...into sweats...and it's only 90 degree's outside. Well anyway, on top of all this he has continued each day to bite away the foot board of his bed. Now his bed is in the process of getting taken down and out and his piggy bank taken away (payment to us for repairing his bed). Granted this is one side of the story...I'm sure I'm not the perfect mom, but man, I'm going to bald pretty soon from pulling my hair out.
