It's Official

Well after I pouted for a week about having to sell my house I finally got busy and we finally got our house on the market. :o( We spent a week packing toys (WAY TOO MANY), books, picture's, and STUFF so our house would be presentable. Our realtor comes with "FREE" staging so we figured why not if we're paying for it. ;o) It looks great, hard to believe it's our house. Luke and I are up in Lewiston this weekend hunting for houses in Moscow. We've had better luck with the selection of homes for sale in Moscow, so I'm pretty positive we won't be giving up our Idaho residency ;o) We are headed back up Monday afternoon to look at a couple that we're interested in. We're pretty excited now about finding a new home...it's always an adventure. The weather in Moscow has been nice and cool...almost cold. ;o) We're going to have to get used not living in the desert...and having real winters again. Anyway, if you're interested in seeing our listing on the Internet here's the link: http://imls.fnismls.com/publink/default.asp?GUID=299f8875-c535-485d-805b-8d072846483d&Report=Yes

We hope everyone is enjoying their Labor Day weekend.

Crazy Fire

For those of you in Boise I'm sure you experienced the massive wind storm that came crashing through. If you missed the news, a fire was started off of Amity Road and headed straight through the field and up the hill to Columbia Village. Very sad, we watched from our upstairs windows at least 2 houses go up in flames. A very dramatic scene for about an hour and half. Thankfully for us the winds were blowing the fire away from our neighborhood and for the fact that we have a river between here and there. Still, my heart goes out to the family's who lost their home tonight.

(The flames on the right is of a house...I think the white one in the middle was spared...I don't know how)

(It's hard to tell in the picture, but there are houses at the very edge of the flames on the left)

Headed North

As some of you know, we have been contemplating moving back closer to home...after much thought and consideration...we have decided the time has come for us to move on. Luke got a wonderful job offer from Schweitzer Engineering Labs in Pullman, Washington that he just couldn't refuse. We are truly going to miss Boise, our home, and all our wonderful friends. But we're happy to be closer to our growing family in Lewiston. We're excited to have the kids be able to grow up close to their cousins and grandparent's. I'm not sure how I'll do with out a Target close by...but I'm sure Luke is happy because it will save us some money. ;o) I'm not sure of the official move date but it will be some time this fall...most likely in October. Now we get to look forward to getting our house ready for the market :o( ...and finding a new home.

Some Cute Pics

Sleepy Blue Eyed Baby

Brothers

Ethan (He was being a bratt in the car...and for some reason when I pull the camera out to take picture's of him when he's throwing a fit...he get embarrassed and the tanny stops ;o) And then of course he has to see the picture's I just took of him!)

Let the fun begin....

So we've started the all daunting task of potty training Ethan. People ask how's it going? Well it went really well the first day. He was all gung ho about going potty in the toilet. I even lined a shelf with toys to bribe him to go poopy in the toilet. Well he worked for 2 days to get that poopy in the toilet....and finally just before bed time the second day he had sat on the toilet long enough he finally did it...just a little though. I wouldn't consider it a full BM, but never the less a tiny turd was in the toilet...and the deal was, if he pooed he'd get a toy. So he got the toy he wanted....and the next day he was completely content on peeing and pooing in his diaper again. :o( I would mention potty time and it turned into an all out fight to get him on the toilet the next day...which in the end I decided wasn't worth the stress...and changing of the clothes. For some reason hanging out in wet undies doesn't seem to bother him. So the kid is smart...if he decides he wants a toy...he has no problem going in and sitting on the toilet now....and he does the duty...only when he wants a toy. I guess that kind of back fired in my face a little. ;o) I suppose I have to just keep reminding myself that he won't go to high school in diapers....but he might be just getting out of them ;o) He knows what to do now...so I guess I just have to leave it up to him to do the rest.

And since we're on the topic of pee and poop of a toddler. Wednesday morning I woke up to Ethan standing in our door way of our bedroom with his pants off and his diaper half off. :-S "UH OH"....the conversation went something like this:

Mommy: "What are you doing Ethan?"
Ethan: "I'm poopy."
(Note: No poop in the diaper.)
Mommy: "Ok...so where did you go poopy?"
Ethan: "Ummm...I'm poopy mommy."

Sure enough I walk into his bedroom and he had either stood or squatted on his stool to his bed and took a poop right there...half was on the stool the other half on the floor all swirled like a nice soft ice cream cone. At this point I was considering getting angry....but he is learning and I can't really get mad at him...at least he didn't go in his diaper right? Well....I did a little further investigating in his room and he had peed right in the middle of his bed first and then decided he better get to the stool to do the big duty. Yes...doesn't every mom want to wake up to that first thing in the morning. And he was such a big help while I was cleaning it up...he kept telling me..."There's more poop right there mommy"...as if he was concerned I wouldn't get is all cleaned up for him. He just doesn't know that next time HE'S cleaning it up.
