Crazy Kid
This afternoon while I was putting Clayton down for a nap Ethan was keeping himself busy. I came out and looked in our bedroom and this is what I found him doing! He had piled up all available blankets and pillows so he'd have a nice place to land. I thought it was awfully quiet!!! Once he saw me he was yelling "Charwiii (Charli) come take a picture". It drives Luke nuts that he calls me by my name...but he says it sooo cute. :o)

Hoopfest
Saturday we made a trip to Spokane to watch my little cousin Preston in Hoopfest. It was the first year we were able to make it and we couldn't have asked for better weather. Ethan had an awesome time watching all the boys play basketball. Even though at one point he thought there were 2 Preston's...only because all of Preston's team mates were wearing the same red shirt and hat...I could see how it could have been confusing. Preston's team ended up winning their bracket...great job Sour Patch Kids...I thought the name was a little girly for a team of teenage boys ;o). Wish we could have been there for the more intense games on Sunday, but house duties called. BUT we did get the garage cleaned out and the stuff in the shop so we now can park in our garage...very strange feeling to say the least...after parking outside for so long.

Little Mouse
Mmmm....how to begin. Apparently I don't feed my child enough. Yesterday was one of those days where Ethan just wouldn't nap...but I made him stay in his room for a little while to rest and so I could have a break myself. Anyway, there was really no need to go into his bedroom after he was released...so to my surprise when I go to get him ready for bed last night I find chunks that have been eaten out of his foot board on his bed....and only seconds before I was wondering why he had blue stuff stuck in front teeth. Ummm...yeah...the word "mad" was a bit of an understatement for me. Luckily for him I kept my cool...but he knew he was in BIG trouble...and amazingly enough he went to bed and STAYED...a major feet in itself. The first thing he said when he got up was "sorry I ate my bed mommy....I don't want to buy a new one". I might have threatened that he was going to have to buy himself a new bed ;o) And then this afternoon he had a brilliant idea that he could fix it...because he's big and strong and has tools in his toy room. BUT...that the tools he has don't work very well because they're just toys. ;o) I thought it was too cute. Hopefully, with a little wood filler and a good enough paint match we can fix it good as new.

Redneck Club
If any of you have ever been to Elk River, this would make total since. I thought it was actually very funny, it's nice to see that they have a sense of humor about it...but at the same time I think they're a little serious about it. ;o) Members only...means Men only ;o) This also happens to be the newest building in the entire town.

Elk River - Giant Cedar Tree and Elk Creek Falls
Sunday we went for a little drive to Elk River and hiked to see the Giant Cedar Tree. Apparently it is around 3,000 years old and it is roughly 18 ft. in diameter. It's crazy to think that we were actually standing next to a living thing that was that old...it looked old but was amazingly healthy looking. It's noted as one of the oldest and largest Cedar Tree's in the Northwest...for sure in Idaho.

After checking out the Tree we drove back to Elk River and hiked out to the Elk Creek Falls. We hardly saw a soul...until we pulled into the parking lot. That's where all the people were. The trail that leads to the falls was an old wagon road that they used in the early 1900's to travel from Elk River to Orofino. It was a very pretty hike...even though we got rained on a little bit.
