Bald Mt. Look Out

The final destination from our drive on Sunday. The boys and I went huckleberry picking with Chrissy, the girls, and my mom a couple weeks ago and this is were we went. I had to take Luke back....ok so he drug me into the car...and we drove up so he'd be in the loop with us. ;o) It is absolutely beautiful up there. A little different than the Mt.'s in Southern Idaho. Ahhh...it's good to be home (that's for Dan and Nikki....hoping to make them jealous ;o))

The Look Out

White Pine Drive

Sunday we went for a short little drive on White Pine Scenic Drive. We went to check out the Giant White Pine Campground...and some other's on the way. We were explorer's for a day...and the great thing is, it is only about 45 minutes away.

Black Hawk

Last Friday a Black Hawk Helicopter decided to give us a little air show right behind our house. I'm guessing they were goofing off...because they were probably as low as they could go (300 ft)...it was a little close for my comfort and VERY loud. They usually just fly around the perimeter of Moscow...so it was very unusual.

Frog Boy

This is actually NOT about something ornery that Ethan has done...I thought I'd share some nice things that this little guy does. ;o) Because he is actually a good kid most of the time. The reference to "Frog Boy" is because he goes around the house jumping like a frog or a gorilla...for the majority of the time...it's not too often I see him up right walking on two feet...unless he's running. I was trying to get a picture of him doing his little frog jump but it just wasn't working out....so since he's still wearing green and eating a green Popsicle...I figured I could still call him frog boy. The emotions run very high in this little guy, in turn, he's a very compassionate dude....and I love it. Most day's I'm carrying him around when I'm not carrying Clayton, I don't say no because I know in the near future he's not going to want to snuggle or be held. And plus it keeps my arms in really good shape....now my back...another story. ;o) I don't want to be classified as one of "those" parent's who constantly brag about their kids and annoy everyone around them.....but I do turn my blogs into books and in the rare case that I do forget something, I can look back, and plus I just realized that I don't tell enough stories about how awesome my boys are....and this is more for me and my family than about what other people will think. I know...it took me long enough. So here's a look at the most strong willed person I know (besides myself ;o)). His imagination baffles and entertains me...but not as much as is inquisitive attitude. I'm left saying "I don't know" or "just because" way to often. I need to start looking things up so I'm not one of those parent's who don't know anything....Oh, who am I kidding...I'm already one of them...I just hope he keeps coming to me when he has questions once he gets older. Though he does drive his Papa a little crazy at time's with all the "Whys?"...and I think it's quite entertaining to watch! Ethan thinks everyone is his best friend, he yells "Hi" at the neighbors walking by, and gets disappointed if they don't say Hi back...which I find rather rude really....who doesn't say Hi to a little kid....granted he is yelling so the whole neighborhood can hear....and some are left yelling back a half block away to answer him. ;o) We've been trying to teach him that not everyone likes to be yelled "Hi" to. ;o) I often wonder how two of the most introverted people could have such an extroverted child. Ethan is defiantly not what we expected in a child....he's more....and I love him for being him.

The bruise Daddy "accidentally" gave him. Let's just say they both learned a lesson here!

Growin' Grass

No...not weed (I hear it's a good source of supplemental income though)...well we are growing weeds too. Here's an updated picture of our house with freshly planted tree's and shrubs...though it's a little hard to see the shrubs (which I shocked really bad planting in 95 degree weather so now I'm drowning them in B1 vitamin)...but you can see the beginnings of our brand new grass growing. It's only been about 11 days since we got squirted with hydro-seed. I'm enjoying the color green these days...the brown was getting OLD.

Trip to Seattle

Last week the boys and I went to Seattle with Chrissy and the girls to visit family....LOTS of family. We were busy busy all 3 full days we were there. We went to Seattle to visit my cousin Greg and his little girl Siena and took a nice walk down to Ballard Locks. Had a BBQ at Uncle Doug and Aunt Claudia's house Wednesday night and all the family came to visit...thank you so much for coming, it made our trip that much less stressful being able to see everyone like that. We also made a much needed trip to IKEA (and spent a little too much money, but it was worth it ;o))...I wish I had my camera because Ethan fell asleep in the cart...that's how tired he was. We spent an afternoon with Aunt Dee, Uncle Lan, Lindsey, Cameron and Kaelyn. The kids were so tired Ethan held the couch down pretty well for most of the day. Then we made a trip to Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium the next day and then loaded up and headed home on Saturday. I'm pretty sure on the way home the towns were moving slowly further and further away....so it seemed. ;o) We were a tired clan after 5 long days and late nights.

Cousins in Seattle

All the cousins we saw in Seattle! We missed 5 other one's who weren't able to be there last week. The kids had too much fun. It was hard to get Ethan in the car to go back home. Aleena and Abigale came along with us from Idaho. All the kids did really well in the car...just one bruised nose (on Ethan's doing) and a couple crying spells...but other than that, they got along pretty well.
